Greensboro, N.C.- On Saturday, October 29, 2022, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University hosted their 2022 Homecoming Parade. North Carolina A&T homecoming is known as the Greatest Homecoming on Earth (GHOE), for the large turn out and celebrity appearances that they bring every year. This year was no different, and they allowed Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Greensboro to be a part of the festivities.
North Carolina A&T anticipated up to 10,000 people being present on Saturday and NRS Greensboro brought out six Sailors to represent the US Navy and spread awareness to the North Carolina A&T community. AE1 Lassiter, QMC Williams, DC2 Masquef, DC2 Bieri, AO2 Jones and NC1 Minerve showed off the wrapped Navy van and handed out Navy Swag to spectators, as they lined the Greensboro Streets.
“The turn out and love that we received was overwhelming, “said Aviation Electrician Mate 1st Class Delford Lassiter. “I saw so many people from back home and that is when I realized the impact that North Carolina A&T has.”
NRS Greensboro Sailors were able to connect with many people in the large crowd and they were able to hand out business cards and Navy swag to people of all ages.
