KABUL, Afghanistan— An Afghan-international security force detained suspected militants while searching for a Taliban facilitator in Wardak last night.
The joint security force moved to a building west of the village of Nashkak, in the Chak-e-Wardak district after intelligence found militant activity inside. During the search the joint force detained the militants.
In an operation in Zabul last night, an Afghan-international security force went to a compound in the village of Karatash-e-Olya, in the Arghanandab district after intelligence confirmed militant activity inside. During the search the security force captured Taliban facilitators suspected of planning suicide bombings and moving foreign fighters and weapons.
In an operation in Khowst last night, an Afghan-international security force went to a series of buildings south of the village of Towr Owbeh, in the Terayzai district after intelligence found militant activities. The joint force searched the buildings and captured the Haqqani IED cell leader, who confirmed his identity. The search also netted suspected militants, a rifle and ammunition.
No Afghan citizens were harmed and no shots were fired during any of these operations.
Also in operations yesterday, the ANP arrested an insurgent after discovering two missiles in a vehicle and two additional missiles in a house in the Shekar Derrah district of Kabul. The ANP continues to investigate.

There were no ISAF fatalities in the last 24 hours in Afghanistan.
