The 35th Fighter Squadron ‘Pantons’ is one of two fighter squadrons here at the 8th Fighter Wing.
Since arriving to Kunsan in 1972, the Pantons have been a part of the Air Force’s rich history on the Korean Peninsula. Today, the Panton legacy lives on as Wolf Pack pilots fly the highly maneuverable multi-role F-16 Fighting Falcon, which specializes in for air-to-air combat and air-to-surface attack missions to support a free and open Indo-Pacific.
Making sure all the Pantons stay ready to ‘Fight Tonight’ is Capt. Kevin “Shredder” Fanter,
“The mission here at Kunsan is pretty awesome,” said Fanter, 35th Fighter Squadron pilot and chief of training. “We have the ability to train every day and we’re always ready to execute real world missions and take the fight North should we ever be called to do so.”
