FORT BENNING, GA - On Feb 22, members of the Institute gathered at the WHINSEC Auditorium to honor, congratulate, and bid farewell to Assistant Professor, retired Army Col., Carlos Rodríguez for 45 years of federal service to the Nation.
A 28-year Army veteran, Rodríguez joined the WHINSEC family in Jan 2006 with the School of Professional Military Education (SPME). During his tenure, he provided over 4,700 hours of graduate-level instruction in three different courses and played a role in the graduation of 1628 students. Rodríguez also served on the Master’s Military Arts and Science committee; developed the Command and General Staff Officer Course Homeland Security elective; and demonstrated exceptional leadership by mentoring and supervising a diverse group of Partner Nation Instructors, representing 16 different nations.
