DALLAS – Service members, military families and retirees can enjoy a free advance screening of “Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant” at select Exchange Reel Time Theaters on April 15, in advance of the film’s nationwide theatrical release on April 21. (https://flic.kr/p/2osmnKz)
In additional collaboration with the United Service Organizations (USO), Fort Irwin will host a special screening on April 14, featuring a special appearance by actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim.
“Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant” follows U.S. Army Sgt. John Kinley (Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Salim). After an ambush, Ahmed goes to Herculean lengths to save Kinley’s life. When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.
“The Exchange is thrilled to bring another military-exclusive showing to our service members and their families,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “It is an honor to team with MGM to bring this Exchange benefit to our Warfighters and further strengthen their Quality of Life.”
