Congratulations to Airman Thomas Schwartz, 8th Communications Squadron cyber systems operator, on becoming this week’s Pride of the Pack!
As a cyber systems operator, his primary duties focus on vulnerability management, ensuring that the servers and network computers within the WolfPack have the most up-to-date and least vulnerable software possible.
“Our day-to-day work is managing file permissions and making sure everyone’s computer assets are functioning properly,” said Schwartz. “Loss of cyber capabilities or the ability to access pertinent data can severely impact the mission. Without communications equipment, we may as well return to using pen and paper.”
With the support and the technological expertise of cyber Airmen like Schwartz, we are able to protect our infrastructure and data from adversarial attacks helping the force maintain air superiority across the globe.
