KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan-led joint security force detained two insurgents and discovered drugs and weapons during a search operation in the Nad-Ali District, Helmand province.
The operation, which netted 10 kg of opium, a rocket-propelled grenade and two AK-47s, was done to increase freedom of movement and security for Afghan civilians by eliminating insurgent safe havens. No Afghan civilians were harmed during this operation.
