The Arizona Army National Guard emerges as a gateway to unparalleled opportunities, catering to a diverse range of aspiring students, regardless of their educational pursuits. With a diverse portfolio of programs designed to meet the needs of college-bound individuals and those seeking vocational certifications, the National Guard provides a robust platform to empower your academic journey. Soldiers can access an array of benefits, including Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA), State Tuition Reimbursement (STR), Credentialing Assistance (CA), Montgomery GI Bill Programs (MGIB), and Transfer of Education Benefits (TEB).

    Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) offers coverage for tuition costs of up to $250 per semester hour, encompassing 16 semester hours, with a maximum limit of $4,000 per fiscal year. This benefit extends the opportunity to earn degrees at the Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's levels. Accessible through the online portal ArmyIgnitedED, simplifies the application process for classroom and distance learning courses. The portal automates enrollment and application procedures, facilitating access to regionally and nationally accredited institutions, and is utilized by the Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve Soldiers. Service members can apply online at: https://www.armyignited.army.mil.

    Credentialing Assistance (CA), supports soldiers in their professional growth by covering tuition, fees, books, and exam costs for credentials listed on the Army COOL website at http://www.cool.osd.mil/army. Eligible soldiers can utilize up to $4,000 per fiscal year. To access this benefit, apply online via ArmyIgnitedED.

    Arizona National Guard State Tuition Reimbursement (STR) offers a tuition reimbursement program, allowing eligible members to receive up to $250 per semester hour, capped at $5,250 per state fiscal year. The program permits qualified Arizona National Guard Service members to transfer STR funds to registered spouses and dependents in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).     GI Bill Programs open doors for service members and their families. Among them is the Montgomery GI Bill Selected Reserve and Kicker (MGIB-SR), providing education and training benefits of up to 36 months. Eligibility requirements include a six-year service obligation in the selected reserve. The Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty (MGIB-AD) caters to veterans who began active duty service after specific dates and contributed $1,200. Additionally, the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) addresses education for veterans who served a minimum of 90 cumulative days on active duty after September 10, 2001.     The Transfer of Education Benefits (TEB) enables service members to extend their benefits to spouses and dependent children. Eligibility criteria involve active service in the Army National Guard, entitlement to the Post-9/11 GI Bill, completion of at least six years of qualifying service, and commitment to serve an additional four continuous years.
