MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. –Military officials selected Cpl. Micah D. Bremer as an All-Marine Athlete for the 2023 Marine Corps Marathon Weekend in Washington, D.C., Oct. 26-30.

Bremer, 25, is currently stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, with 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment.

“I am so ready to represent the finest fighting force on the planet,” exclaimed the 25-year-old Lynchburg, Virginia, native. “I fully intend to make Chesty proud and run well.”

The 2021 Liberty University alumnus is one of 10 Marines who will make up the 2023 All-Marine Marathon Team.

“Running for the All-Marine Running Team for the past 19 plus years has enabled me to stay connected to the young Marines and introduce them to the plethora of opportunities that the Marine Corps has to offer,” explained All-Marine Marathon Team Coach Col. Joseph Galvin. “Leading this team and representing the Marine Corps is a way to develop camaraderie with my fellow Marines and the other Armed Service members.”

Bremer, who was homeschooled and graduated in 2017, enlisted in the Marine Corps on March 16, 2020. This will be his first full marathon.

“It is extremely difficult to make the All-Marine Marathon team,” said Semper Fit Sports Operations Officer Capt. Miles Coats, a native of Lacey, Washington. “Prospective athletes must pass a variety of highly competitive application requirements; making the final roster is of the highest honor.”
