SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Georgia Air National Guard (ANG) heralded a momentous occasion Oct. 24, 2023, as they celebrated the opening of the new Coastal Georgia ANG Recruiting Office in Pooler, Georgia.

The opening of this new recruiting hub indicates a significant milestone for the ANG underscoring its commitment to innovation, service to the community as well as their continued dedication to fill our ranks with the Airman of tomorrow.

For over 75 years, the GA ANG recruiting team has been committed to finding and enlisting talented and promising individuals and shaping them into the next generation of airmen that are prepared to serve both the state of Georgia and the nation.

The new office space not only represents a physical expansion, but it symbolizes a significant stride in GA’s mission, supplying mission-ready airmen to protect the homeland, support communities, and carry out global operations, and the state’s recruiting objectives.

“This is an exciting moment for the Georgia Air National Guard as we inaugurate our new recruiting station in Pooler,” said Maj. Gen. Konata Crumbly, commander of the Georgia ANG. “We’re looking forward to getting after our recruiting issues with the expanded technology and ease of access at this location.”
The new location is strategically located near the recruiting depot of all other components and branches of service to ensure visibility and missed opportunities with potential recruits.

“This new facility’s location will allow us to better connect with the community and will help boost our probability of success,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Roger Brooks, director of mission support, Georgia Air National Guard Joint Force Headquarters.

The flight chief for the recruiting office location, U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Reza Whitehead, expressed his excitement about the new location and the impact. He stated, “As we embark on this new chapter, we plan to illuminate a path for those seeking to contribute to a cause greater than themselves, continue upholding our commitment to serving this community and providing the tools needed for unparalleled educational and career advancement opportunities.”
