The 17th Training Wing recognized outstanding Airmen of Goodfellow Air Force Base and its geographically separated units during the Commander’s Call and 4th Quarterly Awards Ceremony at the Powell Event Center, February 2.
The event kicked off with presentations from members of the 17th TRW; they educated base personnel on the threat of opposing forces and what actions can be taken today to build a better Air Force for tomorrow.
Col. Angelina Maguinness, 17th TRW commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Catherine Gaco-Escalera, 17th Medical Group senior enlisted leader, took the floor to start the all-call. They spoke on 17th TRW Airmen “following through” to help evolve all aspects of the wing.
Following Maguinness’ words, the ceremony shifted to quarterly awards, a tradition that honors exceptional individuals for their outstanding contributions to the 17th TRW mission.
