SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. --
Providing emotional support and empowerment for survivors of trauma is no small feat for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response victim advocate, Tech. Sgt. Aaron Morley, 618th Air Operations Center intelligence analyst.

After being moved by a guest speaker at his previous assignment, Morley decided he wanted to step up and help people going through their worst days.

“As part of an annual SAPR training, there was a really good guest speaker and he was very passionate about assault prevention and bystander intervention,” said Morely. “The way he spoke inspired me to do something.”

Morely highlighted the need for empathy, discretion, and a willingness to help those in need, at any hour.

“We are there whenever they need assistance," said Morely. “We are there to help victims for whatever they're going through.”

Morley’s dedication to his role as victim advocate extended beyond mere commitment; he devoted countless hours to providing assistance to individuals ensuring he was available for any support required.

Morley not only embodies the principles of victim advocacy, but also serves as an inspiring example of the power of compassion and support. This led him to win victim advocate of the year in 2023. His willingness to go above and beyond to help others highlights the impact that one individual can have in creating a supportive and empowering environment for survivors of trauma.
