Ninety-four Vietnam, four Korean and 4 other U.S. Veterans were provided the opportunity by the Kansas Honor Flight to visit the Washington war memorials and be honored for their service.
The U.S. Veterans returned to Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport on May 1st after three days in Washington, with all flights and expenses paid for by the Kansas Honor Flight.
Over 4,000 veterans have had the chance to take part in this opportunity since 2012, with the Kansas Honor Flight offering more opportunities to come every year.
The Kansas Honor Flight has three more flights planned for 2024, including a flight in June, September, and October and all U.S. veterans are encouraged to apply for the upcoming trips to visit the memorials at Washington.
