    Taylor: Our focus today is on a recent visit that stirred the hearts of many within the SRU. On May 9th, retired Colonel Gregory D. Gadson graced our halls with his presence—a figure not only esteemed for his military service but revered for his remarkable resilience in the face of adversity.

    Taylor: As Colonel Gadson prepared to address the gathering, his presence commanded attention, a testament to his military bearing and the unwavering faith that guided him through the darkest times.

    Taylor: In his remarks, Colonel Gadson shared the pivotal moment when an improvised explosive device robbed him of his legs, yet amidst the pain and uncertainty, he found solace in an unshakeable belief—a belief that transcended the limitations of his physical body.

    Taylor: I am freer today without legs than when I had them, Colonel Gadson proclaimed, his words echoing with a quiet strength that resonated with each soldier in the room.

    Taylor: But Colonel Gadson's journey didn't end with his injuries. Instead, it began a new chapter defined by resilience, courage, and an unyielding determination to inspire others.
