CAMARILLO, Calif. (June 15, 2024) – Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3 participated in the Camarillo Public Library's Touch-a-Truck event with a Humvee as interactive display, June 15th.
The event, designed to engage the community and provide firsthand exposure to military equipment and operations, featured a variety of vehicles and static displays. Alongside local first responders, NMCB-3 showcased their Humvee, inviting attendees to explore and learn about its functionalities and the broader role of Seabees in Naval operations.
Throughout the day, children and adults alike interacted with Seabees, climbed aboard the Humvee, and discussed the unit's global missions, which include construction projects, disaster relief, and infrastructure development in support of Navy operations worldwide.
NMCB-3, based at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, remains committed to fostering community relations and enhancing public awareness of the Seabees' critical role as expeditionary engineering and construction experts.
