(COLUMBUS) Navy Talent Acquisition Group Ohio River Valley (NTAG ORV) held its change of command today, where Cmdr. Erik E. Moss turned over command to Cmdr. Timothy P. Henken.
“It was the honor of a lifetime to be the Commanding Officer of NTAG Ohio River Valley,” Cmdr. Moss said during the ceremony. “I am so proud of our team, and what we accomplished together. The command is in good hands with Cmdr. Henken and I look forward to seeing your continued success as you excel at recruiting young men and women from the Ohio River Valley.”
Commander Navy Recruiting Region East, Capt. Jon P. Rigby was the guest speaker and presided over the ceremony. During his speech, he praised Commander Moss on his command of NTAG ORV and wished him success at his next command and all future endeavors.
With a smile, Cmdr. Moss thanked the Sailors that helped him succeed as the commanding officer of Ohio River Valley and said that he was proud to have been their commanding officer and then read his orders.
Cmdr. Henken took command of NTAG Ohio River Valley with pride and a drive towards continued excellence.
“I am immensely proud of the opportunity to lead the Team at NTAG Ohio River Valley, Cmdr. Henken said during the ceremony. “I would like to thank Cmdr. Moss for his leadership, he set the standard for what an NTAG should be and I am grateful for all that he has done for Ohio.”
Family members from both Cmdr. Moss and Cmdr. Henken were present at the ceremony.
Commander Moss received a Meritorious Service Medal for his actions as Commanding Officer of NTAG Ohio River Valley since April of 2022.
