NASHVILLE, TN - The Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE), part of the Security Training Directorate, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), exhibited at the 60th Annual NCMS Seminar from June 10 - 13.
This annual event boasted over 1,700 facility security officers, information system security managers, assistant facility security officers, and other industry security professionals who gathered and learned about updates and best practices from across the security community. The exhibit hall was full of exhibitors from DOD and industry, including CDSE.
By exhibiting at NCMS, CDSE was able to have face-to-face conversations with customers of the security training and certification courses and products. The CDSE team answered questions and addressed concerns from the attendees. Overall, more than 500 NCMS participants visited the CDSE booth and talked to CDSE personnel on how the training products impacted their organizations.
“Being able to speak with our stakeholders and answering any of their questions in real-time makes coming to these events worth it,” said Jason Steinour, CDSE Industrial Security Curriculum Manager.
DCSA had a major role in this event with over 100 attendees, from speakers to onsite helpdesk support from the DCSA mission areas. Also, DCSA Director David Cattler provided the keynote speech on the second day of the event, where he talked about DCSA’s partnership with industry. Part of that partnership, Cattler stated, was “arming the workforce with training and credentials as part of our integrated service.”
