Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) is a Department of Defense (DoD) military training opportunity, exclusive to the United States and its territories, which delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness. The D.O.D. partnered with Central Savannah River Area Regional Commission and local health departments, which encompasses seven counties in Georgia: Warren Co, Burke Co, Hancock Co, Jefferson Co, McDuffie Co, Jenkins Co, and Lincoln Co. The mission is from July, 2 2024 until July 12, 2024. The goal is to provide health care services to under funded communities at no charge to the patient. The services include, behavioral health, dental care, optometry services, general health care and veterinary services.
