Col. Ross “Alex” Mol succeeded Col. Brandon McDonald as commander of the 848th Supply Chain Management Group in a change of command ceremony held here July 2, 2024.
Stephen Gray, 448th Supply Chain Management Wing director, presided.
Mol after officially becoming the commander of the 848th SCMG addressed the group for the first time.
“It is the highest privilege to command any unit, much less a unit with great impact, importance and success - I look forward to seeing the great work of the 848th and our squadron teams as we help revolutionize the supply chain enterprise to enable our Great Power Competition strategy,” said Mol. “Our hard work is the bedrock of the Sustainment Center mission, that said, I am dedicated to ensuring that customer success and keeping our planes flying is a long-term commitment.”
Before departing for retirement McDonald left his group with a message.
“Over the last two years I have been able to witness how truly amazing all of you are day in and day out,” he said. “Alex as you prepare to take command, I wish nothing but the best and all the success in the world; you are truly taking the best Supply Chain Management Group in the business.”
