Staff Sgt. Kaycie Davis, 8th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron dental assistant, was selected as the 8th Fighter Wing’sPride of the Pack for the week of July 29 - Aug. 2.
Davis directs the only instrument processing center for the 8th FW, where she oversaw the sterilization of 60,000 instruments, servicing 1,000 personnel in support of two deployment taskers.
She was selected to serve as the infection prevention non-commissioned officer in charge for the 8th Medical Group. In this role, she monitors infection control standards across four flights and enforces 30 standard operating procedures during 322 patient encounters. Her leadership resulted in 11 coin recipients and five awards within her team.
With Davis' efforts, the clinic achieved $127,021 in productivity and maintained a 99.1% dental mobility rate, securing the top position in Pacific Air Forces.
Additionally, her dual responsibilities included serving as the security team chief, overseeing 12 personnel. During this time, Davis led a general arming initiative by partnering with the 8th Security Forces Squadron to train 154 combat medics. This training was crucial in protecting $34 million in infrastructure and assets.
Davis’collective efforts and outstanding performance earned her the 8th MDG NCO of the 2nd quarter, further solidifying her reputation as a leader and asset to the Wolf Pack.
