    Stockdale, Kidd conduct underway replenishment with Canada

    U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) conducted a replenishment at sea (RAS) with the Royal Canadian Navy’s commercial container ship MV Asterix and U.S. Navy guided missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100) while underway in U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations, July 29, 2024.

    “The importance of enhancing capabilities with our Royal Canadian Navy partners is crucial to continued combined maritime operations,” said Cdr. Lauren Johnson, commanding officer of Stockdale. “Opportunities like these reinforce our commitment and readiness during any challenges we may face together.”

    USS Stockdale is a guided missile destroyer homeported in San Diego that is ready to provide credible and capable combat power to support U.S. Navy’s global forward presence.

    As an integral part of U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet operates naval forces in the Indo-Pacific in addition to providing realistic and relevant training necessary to flawlessly execute our Navy's timeless roles of sea control and power projection.
