Four cadets from the Altus Chapter of the Civil Air Patrol were immersed into the 97th Air Mobility Wing mission by touring the installation at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Aug. 12, 2024.
During their visit, the cadets explored a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft, operated a KC-135 flight simulator, experienced a demonstration from military working dogs, toured the base fire station, and visited the air traffic control tower and the radar approach control center.
