FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. — The Defense Information School inducted seven members into its alumni hall of fame during a ceremony Aug. 7 at its campus on Fort Meade, Maryland.

DINFOS honored its newest Hall of Fame members during an induction ceremony recognizing the inductees’ dedication, outstanding
    contributions and significant achievements.

The DINFOS Hall of Fame honors distinguished alumni — living or deceased — who have made extraordinary and lasting contributions to the career field at the highest levels in public service, industry, the military and academia for more than 20 years.

The DINFOS Hall of Fame Class of 2024 includes:
    - U.S. Navy veteran David Albritton
    - Retired U.S. Army Reserve Lt. Col. Donald Bishop
    - Retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Johnny Bivera
    - Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Joe Ciokon (posthumous)
    - Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Mari K. Eder
    - U.S. Marine Maj. Megan McClung (posthumous)
    - Retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Ronald Rand

DINFOS invited alumnus Terrence Hayes, Department of Veterans Affairs assistant deputy secretary for public and intergovernmental affairs, to address the newest hall of fame inductees.

The Army Band "Pershing's Own" performed the National Anthem as DINFOS' joint service color guard presented the Colors to start the ceremony.

After the arrival of the official party, Bill Rehkopf, a DINFOS instructor and the master of ceremony, announced each new inductee. All the inductees shared reflections about their careers, except for two who were inducted posthumously. Lisa Ciokin accepted the honor for her father, Joseph Ciokin, Jr., and Carol Blumenthal accepted the honor for her niece Megan McClung.

Visit the Defense Information School’s Hall of Fame website for more details and information on past inductees.
