CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait — A contingent of high-ranking officers from the Kuwait Land Force stopped by Camp Arifjan Sept. 22 to learn more about the American forces that operate here and discuss opportunities to partner for future training.
Hosted by U.S. Army Central, six senior Kuwaiti leaders to include Brig. Gen. Fahad al-Makhyal, commanding general of KLF, greeted several senior leaders from ARCENT. Each U.S. senior leader introduced themself and explained a little about their unit’s roles in Kuwait.
The meeting culminated with a request by ARCENT Commander Lt. Gen. Patrick Frank for the KLF leaders to participate in several upcoming U.S. training events, including a “National Training Center-like” large-scale exercise scheduled for 2025. Frank also encouraged the Kuwaiti leaders to send their troops to educational courses hosted by the Americans.
