Aviano, Italy (October 16, 2024) — The 173rd Brigade Support Battalion is prioritizing readiness this month with a focus on soldier readiness processing to ensure paratroopers are mission-ready. This period allows the battalion to conduct essential maintenance and inspections of motor pools, arms rooms, and barracks, maintaining operational excellence.
Lifeline Company recently completed a brigade-level land navigation course, training 55 paratroopers in critical skills essential for mission success. Kingsman Company highlighted their expertise at the International Rigger Rodeo, fostering NATO collaboration, while celebrating a readiness milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Aviano.
Wildcard Company has been recovering over 90 pieces of equipment used during Saber Junction 2024, while Bayonet Company handled complex maintenance tasks to keep equipment in top condition. Valkyrie Company played a key role in supporting operations by managing administrative tasks, supply room logistics, and critical recovery operations, including chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear activities.
Looking ahead, the battalion’s focus remains on soldier well-being and morale, with upcoming events like the Chaplain Charles J. Watters competition, a sports day, and Thanksgiving festivities.
Team Repel remains mission-focused, prepared for future challenges, and committed to excellence.
To our utmost!
