U.S. Marines Conduct Exercise Intrepid Maven 25.1 Alongside Jordanian Armed Forces.

AQABA, Jordan – From October 22 to November 8, 2024, approximately 250 Marines and Sailors from 2d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment will join forces with infantry and artillery units of the Jordanian Armed Forces to participate in Exercise Intrepid Maven 25.1. This multi-national training event will take place at training locations in Jordan, reinforcing the commitment to regional security and collaboration.

Exercise Intrepid Maven, conceptualized and implemented by U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Central Command in late 2021, aims to enhance partnerships and create valuable training opportunities. Since its inaugural iteration in March 2022, this exercise series has focused on improving interoperability among partner nations and fostering conditions conducive to stability in the region. This iteration of Intrepid Maven is the first to feature a designated Female Marksmanship Training package, bringing together female combat marksmanship trainers from the U.S. Marine Corps to collaborate and train alongside members of the Female Engagement Team from the Quick Reaction Force of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Intrepid Maven brings together a diverse range of partner nations each iteration tailored to meet specific deployment needs; this series emphasizes the importance of sustained partnerships, and tactical interoperability. The training will cover critical areas, including fire and maneuver, communications, medical support, individual and collective marksmanship, gunnery skills, and fire support coordination.

As the eighth iteration and second occurrence in Jordan, Intrepid Maven 25.1 will further solidify the collaborative efforts of U.S. and Jordanian forces, demonstrating their commitment to deterring adversarial threats and ensuring readiness for crisis response and contingencies.
