    She provides policies, strategies and services for human capital and talent management to establish a unified framework for civilian workforce programs. She leads an initiative to deploy a civilian hiring tool that enables full transparency of the hiring process and provides performance data and workforce planning information to increase the speed and quality of civilian hiring.

    “Civilian personnel are vital to the Air Force enterprise supporting daily operations, ensuring mission continuity and providing specialized expertise,” Cunningham-Preyer said. “This makes it essential to establish and provide a human capital and talent management framework that addresses their career needs.”

    We asked Cunningham-Preyer, who wanted to follow in the footsteps of her parents who served in the Air Force, to tell us more about herself and the work she does for the Department of the Air Force.

    What do you love about your job?
    Being able to influence and impact every stage of an individual’s professional journey.

    When it comes to your job, what keeps you motivated?
    There’s a person at the end of everything I do. I always think about how I would feel if I was on the other side of the conversation.

    Working alongside others who share the same dedication and values makes me keep serving.

    The execution and implementation of the AFIMSC A-Staff organizational structure reaching full operating capability.
