For Sgt. Taylor J. Beavers, joining the military wasn’t just a decision — it was a calling. Growing up, she knew she wanted to serve her country and protect the freedoms that define the American way of life. Her service journey began in 2010, and since then, it’s been full of purpose and camaraderie.
“I serve as the Head Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine teacher at Knightdale High School (KHS). I have been at KHS since 2017”, said Beavers.
Beavers spent 8 years in the Pennsylvania National Guard before coming to North Carolina.
She adds that this observance (American Education Week) is way to show the variety of careers that members of the National Guard hold and how they can overlap each other and help.
