Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Europe, Africa, Central (EURAFCENT) hosted a Cyprus Industry Day Forum, Dec. 18, 2024, in Nicosia, Cyprus, aimed at strengthening partnerships and driving innovation.
The half-day event drew over 45 industry professionals from 30 companies, who gathered to learn about upcoming projects and contracting opportunities with the U.S. Government.
"These events are vital for connecting with industry partners who play a critical role in delivering infrastructure investments, base operations, and environmental readiness," said Capt. Andy Olsen, NAVFAC EURAFCENT operations officer. "We're thrilled with the strong turnout and look forward to building on the momentum generated by this event to achieve high-quality results."
The forum allowed contractors to gain a deeper understanding of NAVFAC EURAFCENT's organization, including its structure, mission, and values. Attendees also learned about the wide range of products and services NAVFAC EURAFCENT provides to support the Department of Defense.
With over $490 million in construction and services contracts executed in the region in FY 2024, NAVFAC EURAFCENT has substantially contributed to the defense infrastructure, demonstrating its commitment to delivering high-quality results.
"I am pleased with the event," said Anna Gulewich, a NAVFAC EURAFCENT contract specialist and organizer. "There were many productive conversations, questions, and feedback from attendees interested in fostering collaboration, innovation, and partnerships between the Navy and private industry."
