JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii -- Air forces from around the world have begun arriving in Guam to participate in Cope North 2025 (CN25) taking place Feb. 3-21, 2025.
Cope North 2025 is a multinational, U.S. Pacific Air Forces-sponsored, field training exercise focused on conducting Combat Air Force/Large Force Employment (CAF/LE) training within a contemporary scenario to enable trilateral 5th generation affiliation in preparation for future conflict.
The U.S., Australian, and Japanese air forces, who work as the trilateral exercise leads, will establish command and control and organize training for the multinational task force. Exercise activities will take place at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam and the surrounding airspace.
Cope North had its debut in 1978 with the intentions of increasing combat capability and improving warfighter integration between the U.S. Air Force and JASDF. With the exercise originally being held in Japan approximately four times a year, in 1999 it relocated to Guam.
