BENGALURU, India – Aero India 2025, a week-long biennial air show and aviation exhibition, started on February 10, 2025, at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, India.
The event has become a global platform, making it a premier industry event, a significant opportunity for international collaboration, and showcases the latest advancements in aviation for a multinational audience. This year’s event includes as many as 90 aircraft from the U.S. and multiple countries around the world.
“There are over 80 personnel present to support the U.S assets here at Aero India and many more spread across the Pacific that played a role to project coordinated air power,” said Lt. Col. Michael Chmielewski, Air Boss for Aero India team. “The team’s work shows our commitment to the relationship as defense partners with India and all international partners in the region.”
The event features a defense trade show and a public airshow. The trade show facilitates interactions between the U.S. Department of Defense and India’s Ministry of Defense, while the public viewing is available for the general public throughout the event and includes aerial demonstrations and static displays.
“It is truly amazing to get the opportunity to work at an event like this. It is an honor to represent the United States Air Force at Aero India,” said U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Daniel Thompson, Aero India 2025 ground boss.
The United States is honored to participate in this year’s exhibition and is committed to strengthening its partnership with India while furthering military-to-military relationships and cooperation, to advance a shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.
