U.S. Soldiers with Delta Company, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, conducted expeditionary operation training at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Feb. 25, 2025.
MCAS Cherry Point’s airfield provided optimal space for a Universal Ground Control Station to control an MQ-1C ER Gray Eagle Unmanned Aerial System. The installation’s controlled airspace and extensive altitude ceiling, allowed the operators to perform various annual training requirements.
MCAS Cherry Point and its outlying fields and ranges provides operational support and facilities essential to conduct training for various units across the Department of Defense to maintain operational readiness.
