Team Yokota hosted two wing resiliency days following exercise Beverly Morning 25-2 from March 13-14.

After completing exercise BM 25-2, units across the installation took time from normal operations to focus on the importance of resilience and participate in team-building activities.

A club fair was hosted on the Samurai Field, where members could learn about the various clubs open to the community. Additionally, attendees gathered to watch Colonels and Chief Master Sgts. from across the 374th Airlift Wing face off in a game of flag football, coining it as a rematch of the Eagles vs. Chiefs football game.

“The goal is to take time to focus on our personal foundation and build relationships as a community,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Richard McElhaney, 374 AW commander. “Having a strong foundation is essential for strong teamwork and ensuring mission readiness.”

Members also participated in unit-led activities and attended breakout sessions, with topics ranging from financial readiness, hair standards and building connections. These breakout sessions were also held later in the evening to accommodate members on different schedules, such as swing or night shifts.

“The whole idea is for people to take a pause, to reflect and to give yourself a little bit of space to see things, perhaps in a different way,” said Julie Wilbanks, 374 AW integrated prevention and response director. “It’s to build unit cohesion, build relationships and allow commanders that time and space to focus on their people.”
