The 17th Training Wing conducted a wing-wide Standards and Readiness Review on March 26.
In response to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin’s directive to ensure policies are clear, enforceable, and uniformly applied, the 17th TRW implemented a wing-wide Standards and Readiness Review. The 17th TRW Standards and Readiness Review included all active-duty Airmen being inspected in service dress uniforms while providing a valuable opportunity for leadership to engage directly with Airmen from across the wing.
“Enforcing standards shows your commitment to the institution,” said Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin in a video message to Airmen. “Shows that you have the seriousness about the lethality and the danger of this profession that we've all chosen and you are ready to perform with excellence and you are ready to support your teammate and have the trust that when you're in complicated situations, disconnected from leadership in small teams trying to solve complex problems; everyone knows that everyone is dedicated to the team above the individual. That’s what it means to be part of a winning team.”
Through leader engagement and a focus on accountability, the 17th Training Wing is ensuring its Airmen are mission-ready while upholding the highest standards of military service.
