MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. – Weapons Training Battalion-Quantico invites you to attend the annual Marine Corps Championships, hosted by the Marine Corps Shooting Team from April 10-18, 2025, in Quantico, Virginia.
This competition brings together the top shooters from regional marksmanship events to test their skills in various disciplines, including precision rifle, action rifle, action pistol, and multi-gun action shooting. Throughout the eight-day championship, approximately 80 competitors, including British Royal Marines, will participate in both day and night events, navigating multiple tables of fire that involve pistols, rifles, and shotguns. The competition ultimately determines the best marksman in the Marine Corps.
Since its establishment in 1901, the MCST has played a pivotal role in shaping and reinforcing the Marine Corps’ marksmanship culture. What began as a response to a need for improved marksmanship has grown into an enduring institution dedicated to enhancing lethality and combat effectiveness.
By fostering a spirit of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing, the MCST upholds the Marine Corps’ ethos that every Marine is, first and foremost, a rifleman.
