Mojave Falcon Final Planning Conference
From March 14-17, 2025, the 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) participated in the Mojave Falcon Final Planning Workshop (FPW) at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington. Hosted by Maj. Gen. Diane Del Rosso of the 79th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC), the conference served as the final coordination effort before the execution of the Mojave Falcon mission this summer.
The conference brought together key leaders throughout the 79th TSC, as well as planners and logistical experts to refine operational strategies and ensure mission readiness. Discussions focused on streamlining logistics, enhancing inter-unit coordination, and addressing potential challenges that could arise during the execution of Mojave Falcon. The collaboration and expertise shared by all participants were instrumental in solidifying the final details of the operation.
Maj. Gen. Del Rosso emphasized the importance of preparation and adaptability in mission success. "Readiness is not just about preparation; it’s about execution. Mojave Falcon will test our ability to respond, adapt, and sustain operations in real-world conditions," she said. "Mojave Falcon is the premier U.S. Army Reserve exercise taking place this summer, bringing together critical sustainment capabilities to ensure our forces remain ready and responsive," she stated. Her leadership guided discussions on operational objectives and logistical execution, ensuring that all units involved are aligned in their roles and responsibilities. "Success in any mission depends on the strength of our partnerships. The discussions and coordination at this conference ensure that every unit is aligned and mission-ready," Del Rosso added.
Units participating in Mojave Falcon will face realistic, complex challenges designed to test their ability to operate in demanding environments while strengthening interoperability between active-duty and reserve components.
The conference fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas, reinforcing the critical role of sustainment commands in supporting large-scale operations. "Sustainment is the backbone of every operation. Our ability to move resources efficiently and support warfighters on the ground directly impacts mission success," said Del Rosso. Leaders shared insights on logistical challenges, resource allocation, and coordination strategies to enhance efficiency in complex operational environments. Discussions also highlighted best practices from previous exercises, ensuring that lessons learned contribute to the continued evolution of sustainment operations.
With the FPW now concluded, the 311th ESC stands ready to execute Mojave Falcon with confidence. The insights gained from the conference will be vital in navigating the challenges ahead and ensuring the mission's success. As we move forward, the dedication and coordination displayed at this event reaffirm our commitment to excellence and operational readiness.
The countdown to Mojave Falcon has begun, and the 311th ESC is prepared to meet the mission head-on. This summer’s exercise will not only validate sustainment operations but also strengthen the Army Reserve’s ability to support large-scale combat operations, demonstrating the force’s agility and commitment to national defense.
