ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga.— The Air Force Reserve’s top two senior leaders will visit Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, from April 4-6 to meet with Reserve Airmen during the April Unit Training Assembly.
Lt. Gen. John P. Healy, chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Israel Nuñez, the command’s senior enlisted leader, will engage with members of the 433rd Airlift Wing and 960th Cyberspace Wing. They will also attend the Salute to Heroes Dinner at the Valero Texas Open golf tournament.
The 433rd AW, known as the “Alamo Wing,” includes 2,500 personnel assigned to the wing headquarters and 21 subordinate units. It is home to all Reserve C-5M Super Galaxy aircrew training and is one of only two C-5M-equipped wings in Air Force Reserve Command. The unit transitioned to the C-5M Super Galaxy in 2016 and currently operates eight of the aircraft, providing strategic airlift capabilities worldwide.
The 960th CW, with 1,300 personnel across 17 units, supports multiple cyber missions, including defensive cyber operations, combat communications, and cyber command and control. The wing also manages nationwide communication infrastructure, cyber defense analysis, network operations, and initial qualification training for cyber warriors across seven weapons systems. It provides cyber forces to 16th Air Force, Air Forces Cyber, and U.S. Cyber Command.
During their visit, Healy and Nuñez will also represent Air Force Reserve Command at the Valero Texas Open Salute to Heroes Dinner on April 4. The annual event honors service members, wounded warriors, and military supporters as part of the tournament’s long-standing tradition of recognizing “Military City, USA.”
