FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — The Clear Creek Main Exchange is gearing up to host this year’s Lemonade Day registration event Feb. 22 from noon to 2 p.m.

Fort Cavazos Cavalry Family Housing officials and volunteers will be on hand to help military families and young entrepreneurs register for this year’s Lemonade Day event and provide information about how to participate.

The registration event marks the beginning of a series of activities that educate young adults and children about financial responsibility and entrepreneurship, culminating in selling lemonade at their own custom-built stands.

Lemonade Day is a long-standing and highly anticipated event that has seen more than 30,000 participants over the years.

“Lemonade Day has had such tremendous success over the years because it empowers young minds to dream big, set goals and achieve success, all while learning the valuable skills of entrepreneurship,” explained Ally Torres Olszynski, city director, Lemonade Day Fort Cavazos Area. “It’s more than just selling lemonade; it’s about building confidence, fostering creativity and inspiring the next generation of leaders.”

The theme for this year’s Lemonade Day, “Lemonade to Leaders,” echoes that sentiment. In addition to traditional activities, such as “Build a Stand,” where youngsters receive materials and expert guidance on constructing their stands, and “Best Tasting,” a competition for the title of best tasting lemonade, there are a couple of new events that promote ingenuity leading up to Lemonade Day May 3-4.

Youth participants will gain financial literacy and customer service skills through interactive sessions led by bankers from First National Bank Texas during the “Learn to Earn” event, and a select group of youth participants will compete for the “Best of the Zest” title, Lemonade Day’s newest “Shark Tank”-style competition.

For those interested in participating, here are a few helpful tips to ensure a successful Lemonade Day experience:
