MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. - Highlighting Cherry Point's warriors.
What’s your job?
I maintain all of the ground support equipment used to maintain the EA-6B Prowler aircraft in Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 4.
What’s your favorite part?
I love being able to be around the aircraft. Not a lot of people can say they work with Marine Corps jets.
What’s the most challenging part?
There are a lot of moving parts to the equipment we use. On a bad day, it’s a challenge when a lot of things break.
How does your job support the mission of 2nd MAW and MCAS Cherry Point?
My job is to keep the planes in the air. If the aircraft aren’t flying the pilots can’t get the right amount of training they need.
How does your job in garrison differ from your job in the field?
It's more important in the field. Here we keep the planes flying so the pilots can train. in the field we have to keep them flying or else they won't be able to go out and save lives.
