    MAIMANEH, Afghanistan – Officials from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and International Security Assistance Forces delivered school supplies and clothing Jan. 27 to a school in Maimaneh, Faryab province in order to further the education of local children.

    Multiple bags of schools supplies, gloves, hats and toys were delivered to Stara Girls School which instructs more than four-thousand students throughout the day.

    “I am extremely grateful and thankful for the troops for their continued support to education,” said the Director of Women’s Affairs. “It’s always a pleasure when the ISAF and the government can coordinate to give back to the local community.”

    By providing these essential items, GIRoA provided educational advantages and stability to the region; more than four-thousand students will benefit from the aid provided by the government.
