VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Westminster, Mass., native and Oakmont Regional High School class of 2001 graduate Sgt. Gordon Paige was selected as the Marine Corps Training and Advisory Group (MCTAG) non-commissioned officer of the quarter aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Va., May 20.
Paige, who is a member of the Local Seven Iron Workers Union, is currently serving as an embarkation chief with the logistics and embarkation section of MCTAG. Paige was recognized for his outstanding performance of duty and a collective standard of proficiency that exceeded all of his peers.
Paige checked into Marine Corps Training and Advisory Group (MCTAG) in Virginia Beach, Va., in July of 2010. Prior to checking into MCTAG, Paige served as an embarkation NCO with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Paige is married to Maria Paige who is originally from Oceanside, Calif. but currently resides with her husband in the Hampton Roads area.
His parents Gordon and Elisabeth Paige still reside in the Westminster, Mass., area.
Marine Corps Training and Advisory Group is a unit in the Marine Corps that provides conventional training and adviser teams to work alongside partner Nations' security forces.
