JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- Kimberly York received the Superior Civilian Service Award from Maj. Gen. William D. Razz Waff, commanding general, 99th Regional Support Command during the 99th RSC monthly ‘Dauntless Call’ at the Maj. John P. Pryor Army Reserve Center.
The Superior Civilian Service Award is the third highest award of the Department of the Army Honorary Awards for Department of the Army Employees.
York distinguished herself as supervisory maintenance management specialist who ensured the 85 percent military technician efficiency rate at 99th RSC maintenance facilities remained at or above higher despite a 38-percent loss in manpower due to mobilizations.
The 99th Regional Support Command acts as a “virtual installation” that provides world-class base operations support to over 50,000 Army Reserve soldiers, 400 units and 300 facilities for the entire northeast region from Maine to Virginia for the Army Reserve in order to give its warrior-citizens and their families the finest care, support, services and training.
