KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District continues with their investigation into the collapse of the south gable wall that occurred last Monday, Aug. 29, at Fort Leavenworth, injuring one contractor.

OSHA was on site, Aug. 30, and interviewed both the contractors and USACE. Their report is forthcoming but could take up to six months to be issued.

The building has been thoroughly investigated and has been determined to be structurally sound and stable. An investigation continues as to the direct cause of the collapse. Construction operation will resume, excluding concrete placement, Thursday, Sept. 8.
