FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – The U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and the 399th Army Band are scheduled to host the 2nd annual holiday concert at 7 p.m., Dec. 15, at Abrams Theater.
This year’s theme, “Rockin’ Holiday Fiesta,” takes a moderate departure from traditional concert music and is intended for audiences of all ages. The concert is expected to feature the Woodchucks Rock Band, Madera De Fuego Salsa Band and Absolute Brass.
Some of the selections will include popular music from Chuck Berry, Jose Feliciano and many more.
“This year’s performance will place emphasis on the new concept with the Musical Performance Team structure. With this approach, we keep our ensembles as mobile as possible. Instead of traveling with the entire band, we can focus our abilities in multiple areas and perform in multiple venues simultaneously. One of our goals with Musical Performance Teams in place is to appeal to a wider range of audience members which will be showcased in this concert,” said Sgt. Ryan Steuck,
399th Army Band saxophonist.
The event is free and open to the public.
