LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq -- A 13th Corps Support Command unit honored Iraq's sovereignty by hosting a reception for the provincial ministers of Dhi Qar, June 26, at a coalition base near Tallil.
The 300th Area Support Group, commanded by Col. Pamela Adams, held the event attended by the ministers of agriculture, electricity, environment, government, health, irrigation, municipality, planning, police, sewage and water.
The Honorable Ms. Barbara Contini, governor general of the Dhi Qar province under the former Coalition Provisional Authority, delivered the keynote address on transfer of sovereignty.Iraq is now governed by the interim Iraqi government consisting of a president, two deputy presidents, a prime minister and 26 ministers.
