    KABUL, Afghanistan - Local and national contracting officials supporting the Afghanistan Engineer District-North’s construction efforts teamed to award $137 million in March for construction-related contracts spread across the district’s 21-provincial operating footprint in northern Afghanistan.

    Three regional Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) recently awarded for the design and construction of Afghanistan National Security Force construction projects are valued at less than $7.8 million for a two-year performance period include:

    - Eight firms sharing in the Afghanistan National Security Force Region I MATOC award include Arao-Felligroup JV, Areyana Group, Basir Hashimi, Futuristic, Herao Alpha, Pro Builders, Inc., Rahmat Sadat Construction and State Corps Ltd. Region I consists of the following provinces: Badghis, Faryab, Jowsjan, Sar-i- Pul, Balkh, Samangan Kunduz, Baghlan, Takhar, Kabul and Badakhshan.

    - Seven companies participating in the Afghanistan National Security Force Region II MATOC award include State Corps Ltd., Sadath Business Group, Futuristic Construction Company, Areyana Group of Construction Company, Sayed Bilal Sadath Construction Company, Urban Builders Group and Metag Insaat Ticaret A.S. Region II consists of the following provinces: Kabul, Badakshan, Bamyan, Parwan, Panjshayr, Kapisa, Nuristan, Laghman, Kunar, and Nangarhar.

    - Eight companies participating in the Afghanistan National Security Force Region III MATOC award includes include Sabros, Int., State Corps, Pro Built JV, Basir Hashimi, Behnam/UIPojects JV, Areyana Group, Fazlullah Construction and Engineering Company (FCEC-UIProjects), Afghan Builders. Region III consists of the following provinces: Khost, Paktiya, Logar, Paktika, Ghazni, Wardak, Kabul and Bamyan.

    Afghanistan National Army contracts

    - Afghanistan National Army, 2nd Battalion, 201st Brigade Garrison in Khas Kunar for $109.4 million to Lakeshore Toltest JV LLC, headquartered in Detroit. The construction performance period is 24 months.

    - An Operations and Maintenance contract for $270,000 was awarded to ABCS for Dand Patan Generator Replacement. The performance period is six months.

    Afghanistan National Police contracts

    - Uniformed Police Provincial Headquarters at Sar-i-Pul province was awarded for $6.9 million to Nail It Hard Construction Company. The performance period is a little more than 13 months.

    - Uniformed Police District Headquarters at Malistan, Ghazni province, Afghanistan, for $1.8 million to Aakash Construction. The performance period is a little over 13 months.

    - Fire Department (Class B) at Heretan in Balkh province for $2.9 million to Abdulhai Gardezi Construction Firm. The performance period is a little more than 14 months.

    - An Operations and Maintenance contract for Alaibad Headquarters Barracks in Ghazni province was awarded Bamic Global Construction for $198,000. The performance period is eight months.

    - A Provincial Response Company and Operations Control Center-Provincial in the Gardez district of Paktya province was awarded to JV Joint Venture for $4.6 million. The performance period is a little over 13 months.

    Other contracts

    - Main Road Security in Takhar province was awarded to State Corps Ltd., for $2.6 million. The performance period is a little over 13 months.

    - An Operations and Maintenance contract for support to the Wardak National Army Volunteer Center Phase II was awarded to Haqiq Construction and Engineering Company for $400,000. The performance period of the contract is a little over seven months.
