Insurgents arrested, cache captured in Helmand province

Afghan security forces confiscated 60 kilograms (132lbs) of poppy, one machinegun, five small arms, ammunition and various manufactured and improvised explosives.

HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan - An interdiction team detained one man who was transporting narcotics in Helmand province, June 20. The man's vehicle and 490 kilograms (1,080 pounds) of wet opium were destroyed on the site.
