HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. — About 40 Pensacola High School, Fla., Air Force Junior ROTC cadets from the grades of sophomore through senior, attended a five day summer leadership school, July 16-20, 2012 at Hurlburt Field, Fla.
Adopting these cadets as future airmen, members at Hurlburt Field led the class in events such as repelling and zodiac boat maneuvers with special tactics airmen here, to leadership classes with Professional Military Education instructors.
The mission of the 2012 summer leadership school is to prepare cadets for leadership roles in their units, schools, and local communities. Activities during SLS stress team building, leadership, respect for authority, responsible citizenship, personal character, academic achievement, health & fitness, and community service.
