    HELMAND PROVINCE, Afghanistan - The 215 Maiwand Corps public affairs office recently issued a press release regarding humanitarian assistance provided by Afghan soldiers to the local residents of Garm Ser and Nawah districts of Helmand Province to assist families affected by recent flooding in those areas.

    On July 18 - In the Nawah District, 467 families received 15,000 pounds of rice, beans and tea from the Maiwand Corps soldiers.

    On July 19 - In the Garm Ser District, 210 families received 35,000 pounds of rice, oil, beans, peas, sugar, tea, wheat, and lentils from the Maiwand Corps soldiers.
