TIKRIT, Iraq – For the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, battle plan success is key priority for Soldiers deployed in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
On March 7, Maj. Gen. James R. Myles, Commanding General, United States Army Test and Evaluation, Brig. Gen. Stephen D. Mundt, director, Army Aviation, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff and Brig. Gen. William N. Phillips, Deputy Program Executive Officer Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., visited with 25th CAB Soldiers as part of an aviation summit ensuring that all mission requirements were being met.
The visit was to ensure responsibility for all Army developmental and operational testing; by assessing essential information to leaders of battalions and company command posts and speaking with Soldiers from assault and attack units, information operations, personnel, logistics and aviation support maintenance for direct support of aviation operational procedures.
"Today's visit is a fact finding mission for the top leaders of Army aviation," said Maj. Jerry R. Gray, aviation directorate, Headquarters, U.S. Army Reserve Command. "They want to observe mission plans and find out how they can assist the 25th CAB."
